Past Guest Families at Matthew’s Miracle House

Alvarez Family - June 2009 to August 2009

Nine-year old Dani Alvarez was diagnosed with brain cancer in May of this year. She stayed at Matthew’s Miracle House while going through Proton Radiation at MD Anderson. Dani’s mom decided to have the same hair cut as Dani in the below photo. Kenyon Family - February 2009 to May 2009

Michelle is 24 years old and is from Florida. She was diagnosed with Liposarcoma in the chest in March 2008. She traveled to MD Anderson for chemotherapy. After months of chemotherapy, they are working toward a future surgery. Please keep her in your prayers.

Gordon Family - December 2008 to January 2009

Brandon Gordon

Brandon was was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in February 2007. Brandon is from Michigan traveled to Houston to be under the care of Dr. Anderson, a top doctor in his type of cancer. His family used Matthew’s Miracle House for a short time near Christmas 2008 friends and family came to visit.

Moffit Family - October 2008 and December 2008

Christ and Cancer was glad to welcomes Kenny and his mother Teresa. Kenny is 19 years old. He was diagnosed April 12th, 2006 when he was 17 years old with Osteogenic Sarcoma in his left femur. Osteogenic Sarcoma is a rare aggressive form of bone cancer. Kenny has been coming to MD Anderson to see one of the top doctors in this field of cancer. Jones Family -September 2008

We are glad to have helped the Jones Family for care of their son Joshua, age 9.

Joshua was diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma brain tumor. The Jones family relocated to Houston from Omaha, NE to get better treatment, and Christ and Cancer is hosted them they finish buying and repairing their new home.

Smith Family - August 2008

Christ and Cancer was thrilled to welcome the Smith Family as our first guests. Their son 3 year old son Gavin used Matthew’s Miracle House while receiving proton radiation at the MD Anderson Proton Center for AT/RT brain tumor. Gavin concluded his radiation treatment and is continuing with chemotherapy and treatment in his hometown. Please keep them in your prayers.
